The lobed Florida Beauty leaf shape gives it a distinct silhouette that stands out next to the more common round-leafed hybrids.

Botanical Background

This is a hybrid cross between Philodendron 'Florida Beauty' and Philodendron mayoi, two well-established aroids in cultivation. The cross inherits Florida Beauty's characteristic leaf lobing along with a strong, stable variegation pattern, and has been given the trade name "Kitina" to distinguish it from other Florida Beauty crosses in circulation.

Growing Conditions

Bright, indirect light keeps the yellow sectors vivid; too little light and the variegation dulls toward solid green over successive leaves. Grow in a chunky, fast-draining aroid mix, water once the top layer dries, and keep humidity moderate to high for the best leaf size and color contrast.

Tissue Culture Plantlet

This listing is for a tissue culture plantlet, freshly deflasked and established with its own root system. Sourcing from tissue culture locks in this specific variegation pattern reliably and gives the plant a clean, pathogen-free start.

Bring It Home

A distinctive lobed-leaf hybrid with dependable yellow-green variegation, Kitina rewards bright light and a bit of patience with foliage that reads as genuinely unique in a collection.
